Why I built it (Experience)

I’m Chuan, an indie developer and the founder of InvoiceFormly. Before this, I bounced between three invoice tools — each one wanted an account, a credit card, or hid a simple PDF behind a paywall. So I built the tool I wanted: open the page, fill in the invoice, download a clean PDF. No account required.

I’ve sent thousands of invoices for my own freelance work, so I know exactly where the friction is — and I removed it.

Built by someone who invoices (Expertise)

I combine web engineering with real freelance finance experience. InvoiceFormly runs on Cloudflare’s global edge (Pages, D1, KV, R2) for speed and reliability, and the billing and tax fields follow how freelancers and studios actually work.

I use InvoiceFormly for my own invoicing every day. If it’s not good enough for me, it doesn’t ship.

InvoiceFormly serves independent contractors, consultants, designers, and developers across many countries, with full English, German, and French localization.

I publish my privacy and terms openly, and I never sell user data — that’s the baseline, not a premium feature.

Privacy-first by design (Trust)

On the free tier, your invoice data never leaves your browser. On Pro, it’s stored in your account on Cloudflare infrastructure that I manage carefully.

Payments go through PayPal; I never touch your card or PayPal credentials. My policies are written in plain language, not legalese.

My commitment

I’ll keep the core generator free, fast, and ad-free. I’ll keep improving it based on what real freelancers tell me they need — cloud sync, client books, reusable sender profiles, and more.
